Specific Regulations

Article 1. ORGANIZATION
The 100th Scheldeprijs is organized by the Schotense Wielerclub vzw., Hermelijnlaan 21, 2900 Schoten, under the regulations of the International Cycling Union. It is to be held on April 4, 2012.
 
Article 2. TYPE OF EVENT
The event is open to the athletes of the Men Elite categorie. The event is entered on the UCI Europe Tour calendar.  
The event is registered as a class HC event.  In conformity with the UCI rules, points are awarded as follows : 100-70-40-30-25-20-15-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3 for the UCI ranking Continental Men Elite and Under 23.
 
Article 3. PARTICIPATION
As per article 2.1.005 of the UCI regulations, the event is open to the following teams : UCI Pro Teams, UCI Professional Continental Teams en UCI Belgian Continental teams.
As per article 2.2.003 of the UCI regulation  teams must be formed of minimum 5 and maximum 8 riders.
 
Article 4. RACE HEADQUARTERS
The race headquarters of the start shall be open starting Tuesday April 3, 2012 from 2:30 till 6:00 pm – Town hall Schoten – on Wednesday  April 4,  2012 from 9:00 am till 12:15 pm in the MAS Havenpaviljoen - Hanzestedenplaats, Antwerp. 
Team representatives are requested to confirm their starters and collect their race numbers at the race headquarters from 3:00 till 4:45 pm on Tuesday  April 3, 2012.
The team managers' meeting, organized in accordance with article 1.2.087 of the UCI regulations in the presence of the Members of the Commissaires' Panel, is scheduled for Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 5:00 pm in the Town hall Schoten.
Race headquarters on the arrival site shall be open on Wednesday April 4, 2012 from 2:00 till 6:00 pm  - Town hall  Schoten.
 
Article 5. RADIO -TOUR
Race information will be broadcast on the following frequency 164.510Mhz.
 
Article 6. NEUTRAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT
The technical support service is handled by SHIMANO.
The neutral support is taken care of by means of 3 maintenance cars and 1 motorcycle. 
 
Article 7. FINISHING TIME LIMITS
Any rider finishing in a time exceeding that of the winner by more than 5% shall not be placed.  The time limit may, in exceptional circumstances, be increased by the Commissaires' Panel in agreement with the organizer.

Article 8. CLASSIFICATIONS
The following classification will be issued  : on time
 
Article 9. PRIZES
The following prizes are awarded :

A grand total of € 18.800 will be awarded in prize money at the event.
 
Article 10. ANTIDOPING
The UCI antidoping regulations are entirely applicable to the event. Moreover  the Belgian - Flanders antidoping legislation is applicable in addition to the UCI antidoping regulations.
The UCI antidopingtests will take place at Cultureel Centrum De Kaekelaar, Verbertstraat Schoten.
  
Article 11. AWARDS CEREMONY
In accordance with article 1.2.112 of the UCI rules, the following riders must attend the official awards ceremony : the first, second and third of the event.
The riders will present themselves at the podium in a time limit of maximum 15 minutes after crossing the finish line.
 
Article 12. PENALTIES
The UCI penalty scale is the only one applicable.
The 204 km have been conquered!
